DREAMTIME — In the beginning…

INTRODUCTION TO DREAMTIME

In the beginning, there was nothing.
Then, the Universe, the World, everything came to be, and human beings populated the Earth. People got together into tribes. All of them were different, but they were also the same.
They loved the Land, the mountains, the plains, the deserts. They loved animals, forests and trees; rivers, lakes and the sea; and rain, and the sun, the stars, and the clouds…
One day, they realized they didn’t want to forget their origins… They needed to solve this problem and they found the perfect way: they invented everything again, this time with words. Legends came to be and lived forever, through generations and generations, because Aboriginal people didn’t want to lose their memory and identity. Nobody wanted to forget where everything came from.
The Aboriginal people from Australia come back to the Dreamtime when they want to remember the first lights, the first animals, the first mountains, the first people… Dreamtime is the road, the connection between the present and the past, the past and the present. They don’t want to forget the stories their parents told them. Dreamtime is their memory…
Now, all of us are going to dream.
   It is Dreamtime.
Enjoy the legends and learn from them.
